Empire Construction & Engineering Company, LLC was founded by Rodney Sichel, president, and CEO. In 1993 Rodney founded Empire Asphalt, which became an industry leader in the paving industry. The original paving company title gave way to Empire Construction & Engineering with the expansion of the company’s services to include general construction and specialty engineering.

Rodney has helped to shape the future of the North Bay’s construction industry working in leadership roles for several of the region’s high-profile construction associations, including North Coast Builders Exchange (NCBE) and Northern California Engineering Contractors Association (NCECA), having served as president to both organizations and donating years of service to each as a board member.

The Sichel family first moved to Sonoma County in 1920. The family history is laced with long-standing relationships within the North Bay communities and the family’s relationship with the land as well.

We at Empire Construction & Engineering hold ourselves to the highest standards and pride ourselves on providing both service and a product far above our competition. We also recognize that our most valuable resource is our employees. Being in the construction industry, we take safety very seriously and have, in turn, received recognition from various organizations for safety excellence and achievement every year since 1997.

It is also important for the company to give back to the community. Empire Construction & Engineering regularly donates its time and equipment to organizations such as the Redwood Adventist Academy, the Piner-Olivet Union School District, and Extreme Home Makeover (to name a few). In addition, we are active members of many other associations, including the Sonoma County Farm Bureau and the Sonoma County Grape Growers Association.
